Outer Ring Road is a 62 km long road that runs around most of the perimeter of Bangalore. This road was developed by the Bangalore Development Authority and different sections were opened progressively between 1994 and 2002. There are a number of Residential Properties in Outer Ring Road.
Outer Ring Road connects all major highways around the city - Tumkur Road, Bellary Road, Old Madras Road, Hosur Road, Bannerghatta Road, Kanakapura Road , Mysore Road and Magadi Road. It passes through major suburbs such as Hebbal, Banaswadi, Krishnarajapuram, Marathahalli, Madiwala, BTM Layout and JP Nagar.
Outer Ring Road was initially developed to keep the truck traffic out of the city. But now it has become one of the popular areas where a number of new residential projects are being launched. Some of the famous Residential Apartments in Bangalore are in Outer Ring Road.
